Best 70+ Hashtags for Christian Authors on Social Media

Hashtags are an easy and valuable way to make connections with authors, readers or important people in the industry. Just adding a tweet on Twitter doesn’t do much as far as visibility goes. However, if you add a relevant hashtag, your tweet can be seen 200% more!

So, what hashtags do you use? I set out on a mission to find hashtags geared towards Christian Authors…and was sadly disappointed by the lack of specific hashtags for our genre. If you looked at a more secular author’s hashtag dictionary, it could go on endlessly. With this in mind, we need to ask ourselves an important question. Do we use secular hashtags and publicize/network our book with mainstream authors? If I use the hashtag #Romance, my #ChristianRomance book might be in categorized with readers who prefer a more racy type of romance. But if we use the hashtag #ChristianRomance, our book is in line with our target market — Christian readers. I’m not saying we should stay away from mainstream hashtags, but I am saying we need to choose wisely as a marketing/networking tool.

So, after much research and trial & error, I have come up with the list below. I hope you find it useful. I’d love to hear your experiences after using specific hashtags or tell me others I’ve omitted.

We’re in this together — on Christian Writers Promo!

John 12:46

Today's Verse of the Day has struck a chord with me. We often forget that Jesus is the light. We get so caught up in our world and forget to step back from the darkness. God is so good. He gave his only son so that we may be forgiven. We should never forget that! Take time today to step away from life's business and find time to see the light. It will do a world of goodness for you.

Promoting Christian Authors in a Secular World

The Story Behind Christian Writers Promo

Promotion for Christian Authors

By Mindy Hildebrand

There is much to offer on the internet when it comes to online book marketing. Too much, really. However, as Christian authors, we have to be very careful with how we market our books. There are plenty of resources for secular authors, but what about inspirational authors? Where do we begin and how do we get to our final destination of selling our books for our specific target audience?

My goal is to help Christian authors. A Christian is called to “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2) It has been on my heart for some time now. I’ve been trying to do this on my own for so long, but we are expected to network and help one another. I know I am not alone in this thinking. We struggle so often about doing it OUR way, and with NO help. But God has other plans.

I have news for you all (though it’s probably more of a reminder)! As authors, we are called to use our God-given talent of writing to glorify God. Our words can carry an enormous message for those who read us, and I feel such a weight on doing this correctly. How can I do this alone? It’s simple; I can’t.

After years of prayer, God has helped me develop this idea and I’m thrilled to present CWP to you!

Ephesians 2:10
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10: 24-25)
